Description:
The upgrade intercooler is installed in the front, between the turbocharger and the intake manifold. It is simply replaced 1:1 with the original one. The aim of an intercooler is that the air heated by the turbocharger is cooled down. By cooling down the compressed air, more air mass enters the combustion chamber with the same volume and more fuel can be burned, which increases power and efficiency. The lower the charge air, the lower the thermal load on the engine and on the turbocharger, because it needs less speed at the same air mass. Fuel consumption is also reduced as well as the engine gets slightly better exhaust values, provided the control unit is adapted accordingly. Care should be taken that the intercooler gets as much airflow as possible. The coolers can be used on turbocharged diesel and gasoline engines. The intercooler offered here is made entirely of aluminum with cast boxes and a bar'n plate mesh, ideal for motorsports and tuning. Each intercooler is tested up to 5 bar before delivery.
