Description:
You receive a genuine Garrett turbocharger from us. We source these from Garrett distributors, so you can be sure that the turbos are genuine. Garrett is one of the few turbocharger manufacturers that subjects the turbos to several qualification tests, which means you will always get a top product. Among other things, a 1000-hour durability test is carried out on an engine in a Garrett engineering laboratory, thrust bearing test, the maximum tolerance of the bearing system is checked as well as material fatigue, a vibration test is carried out etc.

The Garrett GT and GTX series are all double ball bearing, precision balanced and oil- and water-cooled. There is also the older T series generation which are mostly plain bearing. The GTX series differs from the normal GT series in that it has a special, larger compressor wheel with multiple blades, which leads to more power and slightly better throttle response. It is important with the ball bearing turbochargers that they do not receive too much oil pressure. Therefore, an oil restrictor with a 0.9mm bore is used at the oil inlet. A ball bearing turbo responds about 400-500 rpm earlier than a plain bearing turbo. When selecting the right turbocharger, ask us or check directly on the manufacturer's homepage http://turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/turbochargers. There you will find all information such as exhaust housing options, product description, performance map and drawings.
