Description:
We offer a genuine Garrett turbocharger. We source these from Garrett distributors, so you can be sure the turbos are genuine. Garrett is one of the few turbocharger manufacturers that subjects its turbos to several qualification tests, meaning you always get a top product. Among other things, a 1,000-hour durability test is conducted on an engine in a Garrett engineering laboratory, thrust bearing test, the maximum tolerance of the bearing system is checked, as well as material fatigue, a vibration test is carried out, etc.

The Garrett GT and GTX series are all double ball bearing, precision balanced and oil and water cooled. There is also the older generation T series which are mostly plain bearings. The GTX series differs from the standard GT series in that it has a special, larger compressor wheel with more blades which results in more power and slightly better throttle response. It is important for ball bearing turbochargers that they do not receive too much oil pressure. Therefore, an oil restrictor with a 0.9mm bore is used for the oil inlet. A ball bearing turbo responds approximately 400-500 rpm earlier than a plain bearing one. For help in choosing the right turbocharger, ask us or check directly on the manufacturer's homepage http://turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/turbochargers. There you will find all information such as exhaust housing options, product description, performance map and drawings.
