Description:
We offer genuine Garrett turbochargers. We source these from Garrett distributors, so you can be sure the turbos are genuine. Garrett is one of the few turbocharger manufacturers that subjects its turbos to multiple qualification tests, meaning you always receive a top-quality product. Among other things, a 1,000-hour durability test is conducted on an engine in a Garrett engineering laboratory, thrust bearing tests are carried out, the maximum tolerance of the bearing system is checked, as well as material fatigue, a vibration test is performed, etc.

The Garrett GT and GTX series are all dual ball bearing, precision balanced and oil- and water-cooled. There is also the older generation T series which are mostly slide bearing. The GTX series differs from the normal GT in that it features a special, larger compressor wheel with multiple blades for increased power and slightly better response. It is important with ball bearing turbochargers that they do not receive too much oil pressure. For this reason, an oil restrictor with a 0.9mm bore is used at the oil inlet. A ball bearing turbo responds approximately 400-500 RPM earlier than a slide bearing turbo. When selecting the right turbocharger, please ask us or check directly on the manufacturer’s website http://turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/turbochargers. All specifications, such as exhaust housing options, product descriptions, performance map and drawings, are available there.
