Description:
The upgrade intercooler is installed in the front, between the turbocharger and the intake manifold. It is simply swapped 1:1 with the original. The purpose of an intercooler is to cool the air heated by the turbocharger. By cooling the compressed air, more air mass enters the combustion chamber at the same volume and more fuel can be burnt, thus increasing power and efficiency. The lower the charge air temperature, the lower the thermal load on the engine and turbocharger, as less rpm is required for the same air mass. Fuel consumption is also reduced and the engine slightly improves exhaust emissions, provided the ECU is adjusted accordingly. It is important to ensure the intercooler gets as much airflow as possible. The coolers can be used with turbocharged diesel and gasoline engines. The intercooler offered here is made completely from aluminum with cast end tanks and features a bar'n plate core, ideal for motorsport and tuning. Every intercooler is tested up to 5 bar before delivery.
