Description:
The upgrade intercooler is installed in the front, between turbocharger and intake manifold. It is simply replaced 1:1 with the original. The aim of an intercooler is to cool down the air heated by the turbocharger. By cooling down the compressed air, more air mass enters the combustion chamber with the same volume and more fuel can be burnt, which increases power output and efficiency. The lower the charge air, the lower the thermal load on the engine, the turbocharger because it requires less speed for the same air mass. Fuel consumption is also reduced and the engine gets slightly better exhaust values, provided the control unit is adapted accordingly. It is important to ensure that the intercooler gets as much airflow as possible. The coolers can be used on turbocharged diesel and petrol engines. The intercooler offered here is made entirely from aluminum with cast boxes and has a bar'n plate core, ideal for motorsport and tuning. Every intercooler is tested up to 5 bar before delivery.
