Description:
The upgrade intercooler is installed in the front, between the turbocharger and the intake manifold. It is simply exchanged 1:1 for the original. The purpose of an intercooler is to cool down the air heated by the turbocharger. By cooling down the compressed air, more air mass enters the combustion chamber at the same volume, allowing more fuel to be burned, thus increasing the power and efficiency. The lower the charge air, the lower the thermal load on the engine and turbocharger because it needs less speed for the same air mass. Fuel consumption is also reduced and the engine gets slightly better exhaust values, provided that the control unit is adapted for this. It is important to make sure that the intercooler gets as much airflow as possible. The coolers can be used for charged diesel and petrol engines. The intercooler offered here is made entirely of aluminum with cast boxes and has a bar'n plate mesh, ideal for motorsport and tuning. Each intercooler is tested up to 5 bar before delivery.
