HJS presents a versatile, unregulated catalytic converter system with 100 cells per square inch (cpsi) especially for use in motorsport. Appropriately matched catalytic converters with individual catalytic converter volumes are available for vehicles of different cubic capacity classes. No displacement factor (e.g. for turbocharging) is taken into account when dimensioning.

All HJS motorsport catalytic converters are homologated in accordance with the regulations of the German Motor Sport Association (DMSB). The homologation of the DMSB is recognized without restriction by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA).

The new generation of HJS Motorsport PE catalytic converters with DMSB homologation is characterized by a weight reduction of 30% compared to the previously used Cup catalytic converters. Despite an unchanged film thickness of 0.11 mm, a perforated film structure saves considerable weight, reducing the exhaust back pressure by up to 15%. The improved gas flow also helps to reduce the exhaust gas back pressure and optimizes the exhaust gas cleaning effect. The use of lightweight foil (PE) ensures the same durability as previous products.
