Description:
- The Y-pipe sits between the catalytic converter and exhaust system. It is screwed onto the original catalytic converter. It has a cross-section of 63.5mm. The larger downpipe reduces back pressure, relieves the turbo, and allows more power to be delivered—depending on the components installed, up to 350 hp. To get to the original exhaust system, a reduction sleeve of 63>54mm must be used, but usually larger exhaust systems are used for tuning, and then the pipe cross-section should not be tapered.
