The operation is quite simple:

When closed, the exhaust gases are routed through the muffler; as soon as the flap is open, a portion flows through a continuous pipe, making the exhaust louder. The pressure-controlled flap is closed under vacuum. It opens as soon as positive pressure / boost pressure occurs. A hose is laid from the intake manifold to the pressure chamber of the flap, or the flap is controlled via remote control or switch. For this purpose, a pulse valve is installed in the hose.
