Noticeably faster response behavior (spool-up): Due to the minimal resistance, the turbocharger spools significantly earlier. The dreaded "turbo lag" is minimized, which gains you valuable tenths of a second when accelerating out of corners.
Massive thermal relief of the turbocharger: In standard form, the catalytic converter causes enormous heat buildup directly at the turbo outlet. Without this heat buildup, the exhaust gas temperature (EGT) drops drastically.
