Note on data transfer to the USA and other third countries

We use, among other things, tools from companies based in the USA or other third countries that are not secure under data protection law. If these tools are active, your personal data can be transferred to these third countries and processed there. We point out that in these countries no data protection level comparable to that of the EU can be guaranteed. For example, US companies are obliged to hand over personal data to security authorities without you as the data subject being able to take legal action against this. It can therefore not be ruled out that US authorities (e.g. intelligence services) process, evaluate and permanently store your data located on US servers for surveillance purposes. We have no influence over these processing activities.

Revocation of your consent to data processing

Many data processing operations are only possible with your express consent. You can revoke a previously given consent at any time. The legality of the data processing carried out before the revocation remains unaffected by the revocation.

Right to object to data collection in special cases and to direct advertising (Art. 21 GDPR)

IF DATA PROCESSING IS BASED ON ART. 6 PARA. 1 LIT. E OR F GDPR, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT TO THE PROCESSING OF YOUR PERSONAL DATA FOR REASONS ARISING FROM YOUR PARTICULAR SITUATION AT ANY TIME; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING BASED ON THESE PROVISIONS. THE RELEVANT LEGAL BASIS ON WHICH PROCESSING IS BASED CAN BE FOUND IN THIS PRIVACY POLICY. IF YOU OBJECT, WE WILL NO LONGER PROCESS YOUR PERSONAL DATA UNLESS WE CAN DEMONSTRATE COMPELLING LEGITIMATE GROUNDS FOR THE PROCESSING WHICH OVERRIDE YOUR INTERESTS, RIGHTS AND FREEDOMS OR THE PROCESSING IS FOR THE ESTABLISHMENT, EXERCISE OR DEFENSE OF LEGAL CLAIMS (OBJECTION ACCORDING TO ART. 21 PARA. 1 GDPR).

IF YOUR PERSONAL DATA IS PROCESSED FOR DIRECT MARKETING PURPOSES, YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO OBJECT AT ANY TIME TO THE PROCESSING OF PERSONAL DATA CONCERNING YOU FOR SUCH MARKETING; THIS ALSO APPLIES TO PROFILING INSOFAR AS IT IS CONNECTED TO SUCH DIRECT MARKETING. IF YOU OBJECT, YOUR PERSONAL DATA WILL SUBSEQUENTLY NO LONGER BE USED FOR DIRECT MARKETING PURPOSES (OBJECTION ACCORDING TO ART. 21 PARA. 2 GDPR).

Right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority

In the event of violations of the GDPR, the data subjects have a right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority, in particular in the Member State of their habitual residence, their place of work or the place of the alleged infringement. The right to lodge a complaint is without prejudice to other administrative or judicial remedies.

Right to data portability

You have the right to have data that we process automatically on the basis of your consent or in fulfillment of a contract handed over to yourself or to a third party in a common, machine-readable format. If you request the direct transfer of the data to another controller, this will only be done as far as it is technically feasible.

Information, deletion and correction

Within the scope of the applicable legal provisions, you have the right to free information about your stored personal data, its origin and recipients and the purpose of the data processing and, if applicable, a right to correction or deletion of this data. For this and other questions on the subject of personal data, you can contact us at any time.

Right to restriction of processing

You have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data. You can contact us at any time about this. The right to restriction of processing exists in the following cases:

  • If you dispute the correctness of your personal data stored with us, we usually need time to verify this. For the duration of the examination, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.
  • If the processing of your personal data happened/is happening unlawfully, you can request the restriction of data processing instead of deletion.
  • If we no longer need your personal data, but you need it to exercise, defend or assert legal claims, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data instead of deletion.
  • If you have lodged an objection pursuant to Art. 21 para. 1 GDPR, a balancing of your and our interests must be carried out. As long as it has not yet been determined whose interests prevail, you have the right to request the restriction of the processing of your personal data.

If you have restricted the processing of your personal data, these data – apart from their storage – may only be processed with your consent or for the assertion, exercise or defense of legal claims or for the protection of the rights of another natural or legal person or for reasons of important public interest of the European Union or a Member State.

SSL or TLS encryption

This site uses SSL or TLS encryption for security reasons and to protect the transmission of confidential content, such as orders or requests that you send to us as the site operator. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the browser's address line changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser line.

If SSL or TLS encryption is activated, the data you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

Encrypted payment transactions on this website

If, after the conclusion of a contract subject to a charge, there is an obligation to provide us with your payment details (e.g. account number for direct debit authorization), these data are required for payment processing.

Payment transactions using the common means of payment (Visa/MasterCard, direct debit) take place exclusively via an encrypted SSL or TLS connection. You can recognize an encrypted connection by the fact that the browser's address line changes from “http://” to “https://” and by the lock symbol in your browser line.

When communication is encrypted, your payment data that you transmit to us cannot be read by third parties.

4. Data collection on this website

Cookies

Our websites use so-called "cookies". Cookies are small data packets and do not cause any damage on your end device. They are either stored temporarily for the duration of a session (session cookies) or permanently (permanent cookies) on your end device. Session cookies are automatically deleted at the end of your visit. Permanent cookies remain stored on your end device until you delete them yourself or your web browser automatically deletes them.

Cookies can come from us (first-party cookies) or from third-party companies (so-called third-party cookies). Third-party cookies allow the integration of certain services from third-party companies within websites (e.g. cookies for handling payment services).

Cookies have various functions. Many cookies are technically necessary because certain website functions would not work without them (e.g. the shopping cart function or the display of videos). Other cookies can be used to analyze user behavior or for advertising purposes.

Cookies that are required to carry out the electronic communication process, to provide certain functions you have requested (e.g. for the shopping cart function) or to optimize the website (e.g. cookies for measuring the web audience) (necessary cookies) are stored on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR, unless another legal basis is specified. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the storage of necessary cookies for the technically error-free and optimized provision of its services. If consent for the storage of cookies and similar recognition technologies has been requested, processing is carried out exclusively on the basis of this consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TTDSG); consent can be revoked at any time.

You can configure your browser so that you are informed about the setting of cookies and allow cookies only in individual cases, exclude the acceptance of cookies for certain cases or in general, and enable the automatic deletion of cookies when closing the browser. If you deactivate cookies, the functionality of this website may be restricted.

Which cookies and services are used on this website can be found in this privacy policy.

Server log files

The provider of the pages automatically collects and stores information in so-called server log files, which your browser automatically transmits to us. These are:

  • Browser type and browser version
  • Operating system used
  • Referrer URL
  • Hostname of the accessing computer
  • Time of the server request
  • IP address

This data will not be merged with other data sources.

The collection of this data takes place on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the technically error-free presentation and the optimization of the website – for this purpose, the server log files must be recorded.

Contact form

If you send us inquiries via the contact form, your details from the inquiry form, including the contact details you provide there, will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the inquiry and in the event of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent.

The processing of this data takes place on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, if your request is related to the fulfillment of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of the inquiries addressed to us (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR) if this has been requested; consent can be revoked at any time.

The data you enter in the contact form will remain with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage, or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular retention periods – remain unaffected.

Request by email, telephone or fax

If you contact us by email, telephone or fax, your request including all resulting personal data (name, request) will be stored and processed by us for the purpose of processing your request. We do not pass on this data without your consent.

The processing of this data takes place on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR if your request is related to the fulfillment of a contract or is necessary for the implementation of pre-contractual measures. In all other cases, processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of the inquiries addressed to us (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR) or on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR) if this has been requested; consent can be revoked at any time.

The data you send to us via contact inquiries will remain with us until you request us to delete it, revoke your consent to storage or the purpose for data storage no longer applies (e.g. after your request has been processed). Mandatory statutory provisions – in particular statutory retention periods – remain unaffected.

Registration on this website

You can register on this website to use additional functions on the site. We use the data entered for this purpose only for the purpose of using the offer or service for which you have registered. The mandatory information requested during registration must be given in full. Otherwise we will reject the registration.

For important changes, such as the scope of offer or technically necessary changes, we will use the email address provided during registration to inform you by this means.

The processing of the data entered during registration is for the purpose of carrying out the user relationship established by the registration and, if necessary, for initiating further contracts (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR).

The data collected during registration will be stored by us as long as you are registered on this website and will then be deleted. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.

Comment function on this website

For the comment function on this page, in addition to your comment, information about the time the comment was created, your email address and, if you are not posting anonymously, the user name you choose will be saved.

Storage of the IP address

Our comment function stores the IP addresses of users who write comments. Since we do not check comments on this website before activation, we need this data to be able to take action against the author in case of violations such as insults or propaganda.

Storage period of comments

The comments and the related data are stored and remain on this website until the commented content has been completely deleted or the comments must be deleted for legal reasons (e.g. offensive comments).

Legal basis

The storage of comments is based on your consent (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR). You can revoke a consent you have given at any time. An informal message by email to us is sufficient. The legality of the data processing operations already carried out remains unaffected by the revocation.

5. Analysis tools and advertising

Google Tag Manager

We use Google Tag Manager. The provider is Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google Tag Manager is a tool with which we can integrate tracking or statistical tools and other technologies on our website. Google Tag Manager itself does not create user profiles, store cookies or carry out independent analyses. It is only used to manage and display the tools integrated via it. However, Google Tag Manager records your IP address, which may also be transmitted to Google's parent company in the United States.

The use of Google Tag Manager takes place on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. The website operator has a legitimate interest in the quick and uncomplicated integration and management of various tools on his website. If a corresponding consent has been requested, the processing will be carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TTDSG, insofar as the consent includes the storage of cookies or access to information in the user's end device (e.g. device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TTDSG. Consent can be revoked at any time.

Google Analytics

This website uses features of the web analytics service Google Analytics. The provider is Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

Google Analytics enables the website operator to analyze the behavior of website visitors. The website operator receives various usage data, such as page views, length of stay, operating systems used, and origin of the user. This data is assigned to the respective end device of the website visitor and, if applicable, to a user ID.

Google Analytics uses technologies that enable user recognition for the purpose of analyzing user behavior (e.g. cookies or device fingerprinting). The information collected by Google about the use of this website is generally transmitted to a Google server in the USA and stored there.

The use of this service is based on your consent according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TTDSG. Consent can be revoked at any time.

The data transfer to the USA is based on the standard contractual clauses of the EU Commission. Details can be found here: https://privacy.google.com/businesses/controllerterms/mccs/.

IP anonymization

We have activated the IP anonymization function on this website. This means that your IP address will be shortened by Google within member states of the European Union or in other contracting states of the Agreement on the European Economic Area before being transmitted to the USA. Only in exceptional cases will the full IP address be transmitted to a Google server in the USA and shortened there. On behalf of the operator of this website, Google will use this information to evaluate your use of the website, to compile reports on the website activities and to provide further services related to the website usage and internet usage to the website operator. The IP address transmitted by your browser within the framework of Google Analytics will not be merged with other data from Google.

Browser plugin

You can prevent the collection and processing of your data by Google by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de.

You can find more information on how Google Analytics handles user data in Google's privacy policy: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de.

Demographic characteristics in Google Analytics

This website uses the "demographic characteristics" feature of Google Analytics to show suitable ads to website visitors within the Google advertising network. This allows reports to be created containing statements about the age, gender and interests of the visitors to the site. This data comes from interest-based advertising from Google as well as visitor data from third-party providers. This data cannot be assigned to any specific person. You can deactivate this feature at any time via the ad settings in your Google account or generally prohibit the collection of your data by Google Analytics as described in the section "Objection to data collection".

Order processing

We have concluded an order processing contract with Google and fully implement the strict requirements of the German data protection authorities when using Google Analytics.

Google Analytics e-commerce measurement

This website uses the "e-commerce measurement" feature of Google Analytics. With the help of e-commerce measurement, the website operator can analyze the purchasing behavior of website visitors in order to improve his online marketing campaigns. Information such as orders placed, average order values, shipping costs and the time from viewing to purchasing a product are recorded. This data can be summarized by Google under a transaction ID that is assigned to the respective user or their device.

Google Conversion Tracking

This website uses Google Conversion Tracking. The provider is Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

With the help of Google Conversion Tracking, Google and we can recognize whether the user has performed certain actions. For example, we can evaluate which buttons on our website have been clicked how often and which products have been viewed or purchased particularly frequently. This information is used to create conversion statistics. We learn the total number of users who have clicked on our ads and what actions they have taken. We do not receive any information with which we can personally identify the user. Google itself uses cookies or similar recognition technologies for identification.

The use of this service is based on your consent according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TTDSG. Consent can be revoked at any time.

You can find more information about Google Conversion Tracking in Google's privacy policy: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.

6. Newsletter

Newsletter data

If you would like to receive the newsletter offered on this website, we need an e-mail address from you as well as information which allows us to verify that you are the owner of the specified e-mail address and that you agree to receive the newsletter. Further data will not be collected or will only be collected on a voluntary basis.

7. Plugins and tools

YouTube with extended data protection

This website embeds videos from the website YouTube. The operator of the pages is Google Ireland Limited ("Google"), Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland.

We use YouTube in extended data protection mode. According to YouTube, this mode means that YouTube does not store any information about visitors to this website before they view the video. However, the transfer of data to YouTube partners is not necessarily excluded by the extended data protection mode. For example, YouTube establishes a connection to the Google DoubleClick network regardless of whether you watch a video.

As soon as you start a YouTube video on this website, a connection is established to the YouTube servers. The YouTube server is informed which of our pages you have visited. If you are logged into your YouTube account, you enable YouTube to assign your surfing behavior directly to your personal profile. You can prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.

In addition, YouTube can store various cookies on your end device or use comparable recognition technologies (e.g. device fingerprinting) after starting a video. In this way, YouTube can obtain information about visitors to this website. This information is used, among other things, to record video statistics, improve user-friendliness, and prevent attempted fraud.

Further data processing operations may be triggered after starting a YouTube video, over which we have no influence.

The use of YouTube is in the interest of an appealing presentation of our online offers. This represents a legitimate interest within the meaning of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR. If the corresponding consent has been requested, the processing will be carried out exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR and § 25 para. 1 TTDSG, insofar as consent covers the storage of cookies or access to information in the end device of the user (e.g. device fingerprinting) within the meaning of the TTDSG. Consent can be revoked at any time.

Further information about data protection at YouTube can be found in their privacy policy at: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=de.

8. eCommerce and payment providers

Processing of customer and contract data

We collect, process and use personal customer and contract data for the establishment, content design and amendment of our contractual relationships. We collect, process and use personal data regarding the use of this website (usage data) only to the extent necessary to enable the user to use the service or to bill them. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR.

The collected customer data will be deleted after completion of the order or termination of the business relationship and the expiry of any statutory retention periods. Statutory retention periods remain unaffected.

Data transmission upon conclusion of contract for online stores, merchants and goods dispatch

If you order goods from us, we will pass on your personal data to the transportation company entrusted with delivery and to the payment service provider entrusted with processing payments. Only the data that the respective service provider requires to fulfill its task will be provided. The legal basis for this is Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR, which allows the processing of data for the fulfillment of a contract or pre-contractual measures. If you have given your consent according to Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR, we will pass on your e-mail address to the transportation company entrusted with delivery so that it can inform you by e-mail about the shipping status of your order; you can revoke your consent at any time.

Payment services

We integrate payment services from third-party companies on our website. If you make a purchase from us, your payment data (e.g. name, payment amount, account details, credit card number) will be processed by the payment service provider for payment processing. The respective contractual and data protection provisions of the respective providers apply to these transactions. Payment service providers are used on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. b GDPR (contract processing) and in the interest of a smooth, convenient, and secure payment process (Art. 6 para. 1 lit. f GDPR). Where your consent has been requested for certain activities, Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR is the legal basis for data processing; consents may be revoked at any time with effect for the future.
