The way it works is quite simple:

When closed, the exhaust gases are routed through the silencer, as soon as the flap is open, part of the exhaust gas passes through a continuous pipe, making the exhaust louder. The overpressure-controlled flap is closed in the underpressure range and opens as soon as overpressure / boost pressure is created. A hose is laid from the intake manifold to the overpressure box of the flap or the flap is controlled via a remote control or switch. For this purpose, a pulse valve is installed in the hose.
