Description:
The upgraded intercooler is installed at the front, between the turbocharger and intake manifold. It is simply swapped 1:1 with the original. The aim of an intercooler is to cool down the air heated by the turbocharger. By cooling the compressed air, more air mass enters the combustion chamber at the same volume, allowing more fuel to be burned, increasing power and efficiency. The lower the intake air temperature, the less thermal stress on the engine and turbocharger, as it requires less RPM for the same air mass. Fuel consumption is also reduced and the engine achieves slightly better emission values, provided the control unit is adapted for this. It is important to ensure that the intercooler gets as much airflow as possible. The coolers can be used for both turbocharged diesel and gasoline engines. The intercooler offered here is completely made of aluminium with cast end tanks and has a bar'n plate core, ideal for motorsport and tuning. Every intercooler is tested up to 5 bar prior to delivery.
