This high-quality intercooler upgrade kit for the Audi TT 8N 1.8T with 150 hp or 180 hp was specially developed for high-performance turbocharged engines.
The large performance intercooler, with its flow-optimized high-performance mesh, ensures significantly lower intake temperatures, improved airflow, and lower back pressure. This noticeably improves the turbocharger’s response, allowing the engine to consistently deliver its power even under high thermal stress.
Compared to the stock intercooler, this upgrade offers significantly greater mesh volume and a substantially larger airflow surface area. The result: more efficient intercooler cooling, more oxygen in the combustion chamber, and optimal conditions for performance gains through software optimization or turbo upgrades.
The specially developed cast aluminum housings were designed using modern CAD flow analysis to optimally guide the airflow and reduce pressure losses to a minimum. At the same time, the high-performance grille impresses with its high durability and excellent thermal properties—ideal for sporty road vehicles and motorsport applications.

In performance-enhanced turbo engines, higher boost pressure automatically increases the thermal load on the engine and turbocharger. The stock intercooler quickly reaches its limits. The result is higher intake temperatures, power loss, and, in the worst case, the activation of the temperature protection in the engine control unit.
A high-performance upgrade intercooler significantly reduces intake temperature while simultaneously improving airflow. This makes combustion more efficient, stabilizes engine performance, and reduces the load on the turbocharger.
Especially with ECU tune or software optimization, performance increases of up to 5–10% are possible—depending on the vehicle, setup, and other hardware.
