Description:
The upgrade intercooler is installed at the front, between turbocharger and intake manifold. It is simply replaced 1:1 with the original. The purpose of an intercooler is to ensure that the air heated by the turbocharger is cooled down. By cooling down the compressed air, more air mass enters the combustion chamber at the same volume, allowing more fuel to be burned, which increases performance and efficiency. The lower the charge air, the lower the thermal load on the engine, the turbocharger because it requires less rpm for the same air mass. Fuel consumption is also reduced, and the engine receives slightly better exhaust values, provided the control unit is adjusted accordingly. Care must be taken to ensure that the intercooler gets as much airflow as possible. The coolers can be used in turbocharged diesel and gasoline engines. The intercooler offered here is made entirely of aluminum with cast boxes and has a Bar'n Plate core, ideal for motorsport and tuning. Each intercooler is tested up to 5 bar before delivery.
