Description:
The intercooler kit is installed between the turbocharger and the intake manifold. It is compatible with the vehicles listed above. The purpose of an intercooler is to cool down the air heated by the turbocharger. By cooling the compressed air, more air mass enters the combustion chamber at the same volume, allowing more fuel to be burned, which increases power and efficiency. The cooler the charge air, the lower the thermal load on the engine and the turbocharger, since the turbocharger requires lower RPM to deliver the same air mass. Fuel consumption is also reduced, and the engine achieves slightly better emissions, provided the ECU is programmed accordingly. Care must be taken to ensure that the intercooler receives as much airflow as possible. The intercooler kit offered here is made entirely of aluminum with cast housings, has 4 mounting points, and features a Bar’n Plate mesh. It is capable of handling power up to approximately 350PS. Ideal for motorsports and tuning. Each intercooler is tested up to 5 bar before shipment.
