Performance parts for Seat Leon 1P 1.8 TSI, 2.0 TFSI and 2.0 TSI FR Cupra R
We offer a wide range of tuning parts for the Seat Leon 1P 1.8 TSI, 2.0 TFSI and 2.0 TSI FR Cupra R. Most parts are plug and play, i.e. the original part is replaced and the tuning part is reinstalled without modification or with minimal adjustment. This saves a great deal of work, money and time.
Turbocharger
The heart of the 2.0 TFSI, alongside the engine, is the turbocharger. We offer various turbocharger upgrade such as the K04-064 with a larger compressor wheel, turbine wheel and reinforced turbo actuator plug and play, because weaker actuators can no longer hold the boost pressure above a certain level and start to flutter, therefore stronger actuators are required. Rule of thumb: from an opening pressure of 0.5 bar, the actuator can achieve a holding pressure of approx. 1.3 bar and after that it starts to flutter. This makes a maximum of 300 hp possible. Visually, the turbocharger hardly differs from the original. We stock original Borgwarner units as well as our own brand “Turbo-parts.de”, which we have now been selling successfully for over 13 years. These are all precision-balanced and have a long service life. So that the turbocharger can also receive enough exhaust gases, a correspondingly large exhaust manifold is needed. For conversions with universal turbochargers, e.g. GT28 turbo or GT30 etc., a manifold is required that has the appropriate T25 or T3 flange; we also have these in our range.
A turbocharger alone is not enough. Of course, the surrounding parts must also be replaced so that optimum performance can be obtained from the engine.
Exhaust technology
To generate as little exhaust backpressure as possible, Downpipes with a larger pipe diameter, e.g. 76 mm, are required so that the turbo is relieved and less exhaust backpressure is generated. We also offer these with TÜV or EC type approval, i.e. registration-free, and with 200-cell or 100-cell sport catalytic converters.
To achieve a rich sound and so that sufficient exhaust gases can escape, we have various sports exhaust systems usually from Simons in Sweden with EC approval, i.e. these do not have to be registered and can be used quite legally on public roads.
Intake
With upgraded turbochargers or performance-enhanced engines, the original intake hoses like to contract, which leads to a loss of power. Here we offer fabric-reinforced silicone hoses e.g. boost hoses that withstand the performance. To achieve more airflow, larger intake with sports air filter as well as larger intake manifolds ensure optimum breathing. For certain conversions such as the K04-064 53049880064 turbo on a Golf 6 GTI, a diverter valve (SUV) conversion kit is required.
Power transmission
To transfer the power to the road, sport clutches are indispensable. We have complete kits with single-mass flywheel, pressure plate, friction disc with organic lining and release bearing that are also suitable for the road; sprung sintered metal discs are also suitable for the road, only unsprung ones are more recommended for motorsport.
Cooling
To get cool air into the engine, a larger intercooler kit or an upgraded intercooler is required, because cooler air is denser and contains more air mass, which in turn leads to more power. This is particularly noticeable in summer or on longer motorway journeys. We also offer these with TÜV.
Engine technology
To ensure the engine can withstand certain performance levels, forged pistons and reinforced connecting rods are installed. We have had good experiences with JE-Pistons and Wiseco.
