Description:
The upgraded intercooler is installed at the front, between the turbocharger and intake manifold. It is simply exchanged for the original 1:1. The purpose of an intercooler is to cool down the air heated by the turbocharger. By cooling the compressed air, more air mass enters the combustion chamber at the same volume, allowing more fuel to be burned, thus increasing power and efficiency. The lower the charge air temperature, the less the thermal stress on the engine and turbocharger since it requires less RPM for the same air mass. Fuel consumption is also reduced and the engine gets slightly better emission values, provided the ECU is adjusted for this. It is important to ensure the intercooler gets as much air flow as possible. The coolers can be used on turbocharged diesel and petrol engines. The intercooler offered here is made completely of aluminum with cast boxes and has a bar and plate core, ideal for motorsport and tuning. Every intercooler is tested up to 5 bar before delivery.
