Description:
The upgrade intercooler is installed at the front, between the turbocharger and intake manifold. It is simply replaced 1:1 with the original. The aim of an intercooler is to cool down the air heated by the turbocharger. By cooling down the compressed air, more air mass enters the combustion chamber with the same volume and more fuel can be burned, which increases the power output and efficiency. The lower the charge air, the lower the thermal load on the engine, the turbocharger because it requires less speed for the same air mass. Fuel consumption is also reduced and the engine achieves slightly better exhaust values, provided the control unit is adapted accordingly. It is important to ensure the intercooler gets as much airflow as possible. The coolers can be used for turbocharged diesel and petrol engines. When selecting, care should be taken that the intercooler is not too large for the engine, as this impairs response, but it should not be too small either. The intercooler offered here is made entirely from aluminum with cast boxes, has five mounting points with M8 threads and a bar'n plate mesh, ideal for motorsports and tuning. Each intercooler is tested up to 5 bar before delivery.
