Forge Motorsport’s FMDV008 was developed as a robust upgrade to the vulnerable, factory-installed plastic diaphragm valves. Especially in tuned turbocharged engines, the original component quickly reaches its limits due to increased boost pressure, leading to leaks and a loss of power.
Function and Performance: As a closed (recirculating) system, this valve precisely recirculates excess charge air back into the intake tract upstream of the turbocharger when the throttle valve closes—for example, during gear changes. Thanks to its construction as a durable aluminum piston valve, it guarantees maximum pressure stability and reliability. Since the air remains in the circuit, there are no measurement errors in vehicles equipped with an air mass sensor (AMS). Rough engine operation, RPM fluctuations, or error codes in the engine control unit are now a thing of the past.
