Description:The upgraded intercooler is installed at the front, between the turbocharger and the intake manifold. It is simply replaced 1:1 with the original. The purpose of an intercooler is to cool the air heated by the turbocharger. As the compressed air is cooled down, more mass of air enters the combustion chamber at the same volume and more fuel can be burned, increasing power and efficiency. The lower the charge air temperature, the lower the thermal load on the engine and turbocharger, as it requires less rpm for the same air mass. Fuel consumption is also lowered and the engine achieves slightly better emissions, provided the ECU is adjusted accordingly. Make sure that the intercooler gets as much air flow as possible. The coolers can be used in turbocharged diesel and gasoline engines. The intercooler offered here is made entirely of aluminum with cast end tanks and features a bar and plate core, ideal for motorsport and tuning. Every intercooler is tested up to 5 bar before delivery.
