Description:The upgraded intercooler is installed in the front, between the turbocharger and the intake manifold. It is simply exchanged for the original one on a 1:1 basis. The purpose of an intercooler is to cool down the air heated by the turbocharger. By cooling the compressed air, more air mass enters the combustion chamber at the same volume and more fuel can be burned, thus increasing power and efficiency. The cooler the charge air, the lower the thermal load on the engine, the turbocharger, as it requires lower RPM for the same air mass. Fuel consumption is also reduced and the engine achieves slightly better exhaust emissions, provided the ECU is adjusted accordingly. It is important to ensure that the intercooler receives as much oncoming air as possible. The intercoolers can be used on turbocharged diesel and gasoline engines. The intercooler offered here is made entirely of aluminum with cast tanks and has a bar and plate core, ideal for motorsport and tuning. Each intercooler is tested up to 5 bar before delivery.
