The universal high-performance sport air filter with an 89 mm connection diameter replaces the stock air filter housing. The open design alters the intake noise damping and produces a clearly audible, sporty intake sound, especially under load and during acceleration.

Air Intake and Performance Potential

Depending on the installation, the sport air filter can shorten the intake path and reduce flow resistance in the intake system. With a properly designed overall system, this can support a power increase and more direct throttle response.

Intake Sound

Since the closed OEM airbox is removed, intake noise is less muffled. In naturally aspirated engines, this can result in a louder intake sound; in turbocharged engines, the intake and compressor noises of the turbocharger may also become more audible. The actual change in sound depends on the engine and the installation position.
