Description:
The upgrade intercooler is installed in the front, between the turbocharger and the intake manifold. It is simply replaced 1:1 with the original. The purpose of an intercooler is to cool down the air heated by the turbocharger. By cooling down the compressed air, more air mass enters the combustion chamber at the same volume and more fuel can be burned, thereby increasing performance and efficiency. The lower the charge air temperature, the lower the thermal load on the engine and the turbocharger because it requires less speed for the same air mass. Fuel consumption is also reduced and  the engine achieves somewhat better emissions values, provided the control unit is adjusted accordingly. Care must be taken to ensure that the intercooler gets as much airflow as possible. The coolers can be used in turbocharged diesel and gasoline engines. The intercooler offered here is made entirely of aluminum with cast housings and has a Bar`n Plate core, ideal for motorsport and tuning. Every intercooler is tested up to 5 bar before delivery.
