In the case of extreme power increases, large-displacement engines, or intensive track day and motorsport use, the demands on the oil circuit rise drastically. An external oil cooler with DASH 10 connections (AN10) offers a particularly high oil flow rate thanks to its enlarged cross-section and effectively reduces peak engine oil temperature by up to 40 °C. This prevents thermal overload and ensures the lubricating capability of the engine oil even under extreme conditions.
Thanks to efficient cooling, the viscosity of the lubricant remains in the optimal range. This reliably protects highly stressed components such as connecting rod bearings, main bearings, and turbocharger bearing units from wear, keeps the oil pressure stable, and prevents sealing elements from hardening.
The DASH connection system (Dash Size / AN Standard) offers an enlarged line cross-section with size DASH 10. With an inner hose diameter of approx. 14.2 mm (thread: 7/8 - 14 UNF / JIC 37°), the system minimizes flow resistance in the oil circuit and ensures unrestricted oil flow even at high pump output.
The DASH 10 retrofit kits from Turbo-Parts.de are designed as complete systems. The centerpiece is the specially developed adapter flange with integrated thermostat, which is mounted between the engine block and oil filter. The thermostat keeps the oil in the internal engine circuit during the warm-up phase and only opens the path to the external cooler once the target temperature has been reached (e.g. 80 °C).
Oil cooler core: High-capacity aluminum cooling cores (Plate-and-Fin or Bar-and-Plate) with large-area heat dissipation and DASH 10 connections.
Thermostat adapter flange: CNC-milled aluminum flange with integrated thermostat valve and DASH 10 outlets.
Braided steel lines (AN10): Robust high-pressure hoses with crimped or screw-on DASH 10 fittings for maximum tightness.
Mounting material: Vehicle-specific or universal mounting kits for secure positioning at the front of the vehicle.
