Scope of delivery:
- Y-pipe stainless steel ø 76mm for VW Golf 5 2.0TFSI with interlock flex pipe*
- V-band clamp ø 76mm
Description:
The ø 76mm downpipe significantly reduces the back pressure, relieving the turbo, which in turn results in more power and lower exhaust gas temperature. The rear catalytic converter sensor may have to be programmed out. The Y-pipe is made of stainless steel except for the flanges, which are made of steel so they do not warp and thus prevent leaks. The flange surfaces are machined. Two lambda sensor connections M18x1.5mm are welded in.
The connecting pipe to the exhaust has ø 76mm and reduces to the original dimension of the exhaust system of 60mm.
The Y-pipe sits between turbocharger and exhaust. A 200 cell cat is recommended. Power output up to max. 500hp can be achieved; of course, the other components such as intake, exhaust system, injectors, manifold, intercooler, turbocharger must also be installed and the software adjusted accordingly. Upgrade turbochargers such as K04-064 also fit plug & play on the downpipe.
