A clutch is the connection between the engine and the transmission and thus the machine component responsible for power transmission. Speed and torque are transmitted through the temporary connection of rotating clutch components. This element of vehicle mechanics is therefore responsible for smooth starts and gear changes. To protect the clutch, you should avoid quick starts and take your foot off the clutch pedal when the car is at a standstill, so that the release mechanism does not wear out as quickly.
