- 2 matching aluminum tubes with flanged edges in ø 60mm
Fits:
- Audi S3 8L 209-225hp (also fits vehicles with headlight washer system, but not with fog lights)
- Audi TT 8N 225hp (also fits vehicles with headlight washer system, but not with fog lights)
Description:
The Audi S3 8L front intercooler kit was directly adapted to the vehicle. This allows for quick and easy installation. The aluminum tubes have an outer diameter of ø 60mm. The intercooler kit is installed in the front between turbocharger and intake manifold. It is suitable for the vehicles listed above. The purpose of an intercooler is to cool down the air heated by the turbocharger. By cooling down the compressed air, more air mass enters the combustion chamber at the same volume and more fuel can be burned, increasing power and efficiency. The lower the charge air, the lower the thermal load on the engine, the turbocharger as it requires less speed for the same air mass. Fuel consumption is also reduced and the engine achieves slightly better emissions values, provided the control unit is adjusted accordingly. It is important to ensure that the intercooler gets as much airflow as possible. The intercooler kit offered here is made entirely of aluminum with cast housings, has 5 mounting points and a Bar'n Plate core. Power up to approx. 450hp is possible. Ideal for motorsport and tuning. Every intercooler is tested up to 5 bar before delivery.
