Description:
The Audi S3 8L front intercooler kit was directly fitted to the vehicle. This allows for quick and easy installation. The aluminum tubes have an outer diameter of ø 60mm. The intercooler kit is installed in the front between the turbocharger and intake manifold. It is suitable for the vehicles listed above. The purpose of an intercooler is to cool the air heated by the turbocharger. By cooling the compressed air, the same volume delivers more air mass to the combustion chamber and more fuel can be burned, thereby increasing power and efficiency. The lower the charge air temperature, the lower the thermal load on the engine and on the turbocharger, as it requires less RPM for the same air mass. Fuel consumption is also reduced and the engine achieves slightly better emissions, provided the ECU is adjusted accordingly. Care must be taken that the intercooler gets as much airflow as possible. The intercooler kit offered here is made entirely of aluminum with cast end tanks, has 5 mounting points, and a Bar`n Plate core. It enables up to approx. 450hp. Ideal for motorsport and tuning. Every intercooler is tested up to 5 bar before delivery.
