No turbo without a 1.8T turbo manifold
Unlike in naturally aspirated vehicles, the turbo manifold—also known as the exhaust manifold—is responsible for routing the exhaust gases, not into the exhaust system to be emitted as exhaust, but directly into the turbocharger to drive it. The exhaust gases are thus diverted from the engine. Incidentally, the turbo exhaust manifold gets its name from its curved design, which directs the exhaust gases—ejected horizontally from the cylinder head—downward.
This process occurs under extreme thermal stress, as the engine heats up heats up . For this reason, our exhaust manifolds are manufactured in a metal mold from high-quality cast material and then CNC-machined, which ensures a high degree of fit accuracy. Unlike tubular manifolds, this design is more durable. The flange to the cylinder head is slotted to allow the manifold to expand, thereby preventing cracking.
Perfect fit and super sturdy
To cater to a wide range of car models, we’ve put together a particularly extensive selection of 1.8T turbo manifoldsfor you. Suitable for all Audi, Skoda, Seat, and VW 1.8T engines for conversion to larger turbochargers, our selection features only high-quality components. Because only by adhering to standards can we ensure a safe and enjoyable driving experience. Of course, we also offer right accessories —whether manifold gaskets or bolts—just browse through our online shop. As a rule, all OEM turbos for the vehicle model of the respective item fit the exhaust manifold. Simply swap out the old exhaust manifold for the new one—quickly and cleanly. However, to ensure the turbo exhaust manifold functions properly, you must pay close attention to the dimensions and fit of the corresponding part as specified in the product description.
When an upgrade is needed
Every 1.8T turbo manifold is designed so that its pipes converge into a so-called header. Every car has both an exhaust manifold and an intake manifold. However, problems and damage generally occur in the exhaust manifold. Cracks that lead to a leaky exhaust manifold are typical for this type of component. Vibrations while driving, sudden temperature fluctuations, and worn gaskets can all be reasons for necessary repairs. If, as a driver, you notice incorrect readings on the lambda sensor, the smell of exhaust inside the car, a louder engine noise, or a loss of power, these could be symptoms of a leaky turbo manifold – but if the worst comes to the worst, we’re here for you with our product range!
Larger pipe diameters allow for performance increases of up to 10 percent. Slotted flanges to make the exhaust manifold crack-resistant, cast for high load capacity, or models with a wastegate connection—here you’ll find the 1.8T turbo exhaust manifold you’re looking for.
We are constantly working to make finding the right parts as convenient as possible for you. That’s why all upgrades are clearly displayed at a glance in the 1.8T Tuning category—simply select your vehicle type and browse our selection.
