Innovative driving with the EFR turbocharger

EFR – Engineered For Racing. The name says it all, because as the original designation suggests, EFR turbochargers have been specifically developed for racing applications. Anyone familiar with Borgwarner appreciates the quality of the individual components! For nearly half a century, the manufacturer has impressed with its consistently forward-thinking turbocharging systems and, through its experience and expertise, has set new milestones in turbocharger development. To this day, the company continues to work successfully on further improving the driving experience and vehicle handling through new technologies and perfected systems.

High performance with the EFR turbocharger

Not just any turbocharger – an EFR! But what does that mean for you? In short: nothing but benefits in terms of durability, strong performance, and quick-responding boost pressure. Plus, with an EFR turbocharger, you get a revolutionary combination of the latest technologies. In addition to lightweight turbine wheels for faster response time and ceramic double ball bearings for greater durability , the EFR’s sturdy stainless steel turbine housing delivers even greater efficiency.

But why the turbo?

Since gasoline and diesel engines are driven by naturally aspirated engines, they eventually reach their physical limits – the reason for this is the negative pressure, which limits the degree of filling. As engine speeds increase, the pressure also becomes measurably higher. This leads to the simple equation that higher engine speeds result in more power, although this process also results in a reduced service life. And this is exactly where the turbo comes into play. The compressor in the turbocharger’s intake tract is connected to a turbine via a shaft. The turbine is positioned where the exhaust gas flow passes, allowing the exhaust gases to drive the exhaust gas turbine, which in turn drives the compressor. Put simply, this forces the intake air further into the cylinders, which, combined with a greater fuel supply, results in an optimized filling ratio.

A new turbocharger offers you higher engine performance while reducing fuel consumption and optimizing emissions. It’s a comprehensive package for your vehicle that provides many practical benefits and, in addition to upgrading your car, is also environmentally friendly. To guarantee you maximum performance, we only supply spare parts of the highest quality that meet established EU standards.
