K04 Upgrade Turbocharger 1.8T: Performance Boost for VAG Engines

Modifying 1.8T engines from the Volkswagen-Audi Group (VAG) using a K04-based upgrade is one of the most established methods of performance enhancement in the tuning and motorsports sectors. A K04 upgrade turbocharger enables a significantly higher air mass flow rate and more stable boost pressures in the upper RPM range thanks to its larger housing dimensions and optimized geometry. In addition to a measurable increase in effective mean pressure and engine power, the system optimizes cylinder fill, while the flow and intake noise characteristic of the system becomes more audible.
