It is simply replaced 1:1 with the original one. The goal of an intercooler is to ensure that the air heated by the turbocharger is cooled down. By cooling down the compressed air, more air mass enters the combustion chamber at the same volume and more fuel can be burned, increasing power and efficiency. The lower the charge air, the lower the thermal load on the engine, and the turbocharger because it requires less speed for the same air mass. Fuel consumption is also reduced, and the engine achieves slightly better emission values, provided the control unit is adapted accordingly. It is important to ensure that the intercooler gets as much airflow as possible. The coolers can be used on turbocharged diesel and gasoline engines. When choosing, care should be taken that the intercooler is not too large for the engine, as this would impair response behavior; it should not be too small either. The intercooler offered here is made entirely of aluminum with cast boxes and has a bar`n plate mesh, ideal for motorsport and tuning. Each intercooler is tested up to 5 bar before delivery.
