Description:The upgraded intercooler is mounted at the front, between the turbocharger and the intake manifold. It can simply be swapped out 1:1 with the original. The purpose of an intercooler is to cool down the air heated by the turbocharger. By cooling the compressed air, a greater mass of air can enter the combustion chamber at the same volume, allowing more fuel to be burned, which increases power and efficiency. The lower the charge air temperature, the lower the thermal load on the engine and the turbocharger, as it requires less RPM for the same air mass. Fuel consumption is also lowered and the engine achieves slightly better emissions, provided the ECU is adjusted accordingly. It is important that the intercooler receives as much airflow as possible. The cooler can be used in turbocharged diesel and gasoline engines. The intercooler offered here is made completely of aluminum with cast end tanks and features a bar-and-plate core, ideal for motorsport and tuning. Every intercooler is tested up to 5 bar before delivery.
