Turbocharger
The heart of the 2.0 TFSI, alongside the engine, is the turbocharger. We offer various turbocharger upgrade such as the K04-064 with a larger compressor wheel, turbine wheel, and reinforced turbo actuator plug and play, because weaker actuators can no longer maintain boost pressure above a certain level and begin to flutter; therefore, stronger actuators are then required. As a rule of thumb, from an opening pressure of 0.5 bar, the actuator can achieve a holding pressure of approx. 1.3 bar, and after that it begins to flutter. This makes a maximum of 300 hp possible. The turbocharger differs only slightly visually from the original. We carry genuine Borgwarner units as well as our own brand “Turbo-parts.de,” which we have now been successfully distributing for over 13 years. These are all precision-balanced and have a long service life. To ensure the turbocharger also receives sufficient exhaust gases, a correspondingly large Exhaust manifold is required. For conversions with universal turbochargers, e.g. GT28 Turbo or GT30 etc., a manifold is required that has the appropriate T25 or T3 flange; we also carry these in our range.
A turbocharger alone is not enough. Of course, the surrounding parts must also be replaced so that the optimal performance can be extracted from the engine.
Exhaust technology
To generate as little exhaust backpressure as possible, Downpipes with a larger pipe diameter, e.g. 76 mm, are required so that the turbo is relieved and less exhaust backpressure is produced. We also offer these with TÜV and with 200-cell or 100-cell sport catalytic converters.
To achieve a rich sound and so that sufficient exhaust gases can escape, we have various Sports exhaust systems generally from Simons from Sweden with EC approval, i.e. these do not need to be registered and can be used completely legally on public roads.
Intake
When using upgrade turbochargers or on performance-enhanced engines, the original intake hoses tend to collapse, which leads to a loss of power. Here we offer fabric-reinforced Silicone hoses e.g. Boost pressure hoses that can withstand the performance. To achieve greater airflow, greater intake with sports air filter as well as larger intake manifolds ensure optimal breathing. For certain conversions such as fitting the K04-064 53049880064 turbo to a Golf 6 GTI, a Shuttle Air Valve (SUV) Conversion Kit required.
Powertrain
To transfer the power to the road, Sport Clutches essential. We have complete kits with single-mass flywheel, pressure plate, friction disc with organic lining and release bearing that are also suitable for street use; sprung sintered metal discs are also suitable for the street, only unsprung ones are more recommended for motorsport.
Cooling
To get cool air into the engine, a larger Intercooler Kit or an Upgrade intercooler required, because cooler air is denser and contains more air mass, which in turn leads to more performance. This is particularly noticeable in summer or during longer motorway journeys. We also offer these with TÜV.
Engine technology
To ensure the engine can withstand certain performance levels, Forged piston and reinforced Connecting rod installed. We have had good experiences with JE-Pistons and Wiseco.
