Tuning parts for Audi TT 8N 1.8T + Quattro and 3.2L Quattro

Turbocharger

The heart of the 1.8T, alongside the engine, is the turbocharger. We offer various turbocharger upgrade such as the K04-001 or K04-023 with a larger compressor wheel, turbine wheel, and reinforced Pressure tank ...because weaker turbo actuators can no longer maintain boost pressure above a certain level and begin to flutter; therefore, stronger turbo actuators are required. As a rule of thumb, starting at an opening pressure of 0.5 bar, the turbo actuator can maintain a pressure of approx. 1.3 bar, after which it begins to flutter. This allows for a maximum of 300 hp. Visually, the turbocharger hardly differs from the OEM unit. We carry genuine Borgwarner in our product range as well as our own brand “Turbo-parts.de,” which we have been successfully selling for over 13 years now. These are all precision-balanced and have a long service life. To ensure the turbocharger receives sufficient exhaust gas, a correspondingly large exhaust manifold here. Here we have again upgrade exhaust manifold with a larger pipe cross-section that can simply be swapped out for the original exhaust manifold. For conversions with universal turbochargers, e.g., GT28 turbo or GT30, etc., an exhaust manifold is required that has the appropriate T25 or T3 flange; we also carry these in our product range. A turbocharger alone isn’t enough. Of course, the surrounding components must also be replaced to ensure optimal performance from the engine.

Exhaust Technology

To generate as little exhaust backpressure as possible, downpipes  A larger pipe diameter, e.g., 76 mm, is required to relieve the turbo and reduce exhaust backpressure. We also offer these with TÜV certification and with 200-CPI or 100-CPI sport catalysts.

To achieve a rich sound and ensure sufficient exhaust gas can escape, we have used various Sports Exhaust Systems These parts are generally sourced from Simons in Sweden and come with EC approval, meaning they do not need to be registered and can be used legally on public roads.

Intake

When upgrading turbochargers or with performance-enhanced engines, the original intake hoses tend to constrict, leading to a loss of power. We offer hoses reinforced with synthetic fibers Silicone hoses e.g. Intake hoses or boost hoses that can withstand the performance. To achieve greater airflow, ensure Sport air filter as well as larger Intake manifolds for optimal ventilation. Bypass valves also known as pop-off valves or SUVs, are essential for the 1.8T; they must also be closed there, otherwise the air mass sensor will not account for the air vented into the atmosphere in its calculations. For this reason, open valves are not suitable for the 1.8T with the original fuel injection system.

Powertrain

To transfer the power to the road, Sport Clutches essential. We offer complete kits with a one-piece flywheel, pressure plate, friction disc with organic lining, and release bearing that are also street-legal; spring-loaded sintered metal discs are also suitable for the street, while unsprung ones are recommended primarily for motorsports.

Cooling

To get cool air into the engine, a larger intercooler kit or a Upgrade intercooler required, because cooler air is denser and contains more air mass, which in turn leads to more power. This is particularly noticeable in the summer or during longer highway drives. For conversions with replacement turbochargers, other Oil and water lines required. For water cooling, we offer all-aluminum Water Cooler which are more durable than the original ones with plastic boxes.
