With this high-quality 19-row oil cooler kit for VW VR6 engines you get a particularly powerful yet temperature-controlled solution for additional engine oil cooling. The integrated thermostat in the oil filter adapter ensures that the external oil cooler is activated only when the oil temperature rises.

During the warm-up phase, the engine oil is not unnecessarily routed through the external oil cooler, allowing it to reach its optimal operating temperature more quickly. As the oil temperature rises, the thermostat opens and directs the oil through the high-performance 19-row oil cooler. Depending on the vehicle, outside temperature, driving style, and engine load, the oil temperature can typically rise by approx. 10–30 °C.

The oil filter adapter features an integrated thermostat, which regulates the oil flow based on temperature. As a result, the external oil cooler is actively routed through only when additional cooling capacity is required.

The 19-row oil cooler features D08 connections with 3/4-16 UNF threads. The included steel-braided hoses provide a secure and flexible connection between the oil filter adapter and the oil cooler.

The included extension bolt for VR6 engines is manufactured with high precision using CNC technology and is made of high-quality stainless steel.

For VR6 turbo engines, VR6 supercharger conversions, performance-tuned VR6 engines, and sport-oriented vehicles oil temperature can rise significantly under high and prolonged loads. The 19-row oil cooler offers particularly high cooling capacity and helps keep the oil temperature at a lower level even under high engine power and intense loads.

The integrated thermostat also ensures effective temperature management. During the warm-up phase, the external oil cooler remains largely outside the active oil circuit, allowing the engine oil to reach its optimal operating temperature more quickly. When the oil temperature is sufficiently high, the additional cooling capacity is automatically utilized.
