Description:
The intercooler is installed between the turbocharger and the intake manifold. The aim of an intercooler is to ensure that the air heated by the turbocharger is cooled down. By cooling down the compressed air, more air mass enters the combustion chamber with the same volume and more fuel can be burned, thereby increasing the output and efficiency. The lower the charge air, the lower the thermal load on the engine, the turbocharger because it requires less speed for the same air mass. Fuel consumption is also reduced and the engine achieves slightly better exhaust values, provided the control unit is adapted accordingly. It is important to ensure that the intercooler gets as much airflow as possible. The coolers can be used for turbocharged diesel and petrol engines. When choosing, it should be ensured that the intercooler is not too large for the engine, because this would affect the response behavior, and it should not be too small either. The intercooler offered here is made entirely of aluminum with cast boxes, has five mounting points with M8 thread and a bar'n plate core, ideal for motorsport and tuning. Each intercooler is tested up to 5 bar before delivery.
