Description:
The intercooler is installed between the turbocharger and the intake manifold. The aim of an intercooler is to cool down the air heated by the turbocharger. By cooling down the compressed air, more air mass enters the combustion chamber at the same volume and more fuel can be burned, which increases power and efficiency. The lower the charge air temperature, the lower the thermal load on the engine, the turbocharger, because it requires less speed for the same air mass. Fuel consumption is also reduced and the engine achieves slightly better exhaust values, provided the control unit is adjusted accordingly. It is important to ensure that the intercooler receives as much airflow as possible. The coolers can be used on turbocharged diesel and gasoline engines. When selecting, care should be taken to ensure that the intercooler is not too large for the engine, as this would impair the response, nor should it be too small. The intercooler offered here is made entirely of aluminum with cast tanks, has five mounting points with M8 threads and a bar'n plate core, ideal for motorsport and tuning. Each intercooler is tested up to 5 bar before delivery.
