Product description:
- The base of this turbocharger is the Borgwarner K04-001 53049500001. It is installed in the transversely mounted Audi / Seat / VW 1.8T engines and has a milled compressor wheel from the Audi S3 8P K04-064 and a specially cast compressor housing. The turbo fits almost 1:1 and replaces the original. All connections are as original, except that the inlet of the specially cast fresh air housing is slightly larger, ø 60mm, which requires the intake hose to be modified. The software must be adapted to the turbo. To achieve an output of approx. 300hp, the following must be installed: intake hose made of silicone, 380cc injectors, intercooler kit, upgrade manifold, 76mm downpipe with 200 cell cat and at least 63.5mm exhaust system. With proper ECU tuning, up to 300hp is possible. We source the turbo from a German Borgwarner representative.
