Description:
You receive an original Garrett turbocharger from us. We source these from Garrett distributors, so you can be sure that the turbos are genuine. Garrett is one of the few turbocharger manufacturers to subject their turbos to several qualification tests, meaning you always receive a top-quality product. Among other things, a 1000-hour durability test is carried out on an engine in a Garrett Engineering laboratory, bearing load test, the maximum tolerance of the bearing system is checked as well as material fatigue, a vibration test is performed etc.
The Garrett GT and GTX series are all double ball bearing, precision balanced, and oil- and water-cooled. There is also the older generation T series, which are mostly journal bearing. The GTX series differs from the standard GT in that it has a special, larger compressor wheel with more blades, which leads to more power and slightly better response. It is important that the ball-bearing turbochargers do not receive too much oil pressure. Therefore, an oil restrictor with a 0.9mm bore is used in the oil feed. A ball bearing turbo responds about 400-500 rpm earlier than a journal bearing type. When selecting the right turbocharger, ask us or check directly on the manufacturer's homepage http://turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/turbochargers. There you can find all information such as exhaust housing options, product description, performance map, and drawings. HerstellerinformationenGarrett
