Description:
With us you receive an original Garrett turbocharger. We source these from Garrett distributors, so you can be sure that the turbos are original. Garrett is one of the few turbocharger manufacturers that subjects the turbos to multiple qualification tests, which means you always get a top product. Among other things, a 1000-hour durability test is carried out on an engine in a Garrett engineering laboratory, thrust bearing test, the maximum tolerance of the bearing system is checked as well as material fatigue, a vibration test is carried out, etc.

The Garrett GT and GTX series are all double ball bearing, finely balanced and oil and water cooled. There is also the older generation T series which are mostly plain bearing. The GTX series differs from the normal GT in that they have a special, larger compressor wheel with more blades, which leads to more power and slightly better response. It is important for the ball bearing turbochargers that they do not receive too much oil pressure. Therefore, an oil restrictor with 0.9mm bore is used for the oil feed. A ball bearing turbo responds approximately 400-500 rpm earlier than a plain bearing turbo. When selecting the correct turbocharger, please ask us or check directly on the manufacturer's homepage http://turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/turbochargers. All information such as exhaust housing options, product description, performance map and drawings is available there.
