The Turbocharger for VW

Turbochargers are used precisely when the performance and efficiency of a vehicle need to be increased even with a small engine displacement. The key feature of this system comes into play during the exhaust gas discharge into the ambient air. Normally of no further significance to the vehicle as exhaust emissions, the turbo harnesses precisely this energy to drive a turbine. On the same shaft is the so-called compressor wheel, which draws in fresh air and, as the name suggests, “compresses” it. In direct comparison to naturally aspirated engines, the cylinders are filled measurably better by the compressed air, and both driver and vehicle benefit from optimized engine performance. On the other hand, using a turbo kit for VW naturally also shines with reduced fuel consumption – good for the environment and for your wallet.
