We offer genuine Garrett turbochargers. We source these from Garrett distributors, so you can be sure the turbos are genuine. Garrett is one of the few turbocharger manufacturers that subjects its turbos to multiple qualification tests, which means you always receive a top-quality product. Among other things, a 1,000-hour durability test is conducted on an engine in an Garrett engineering lab; thrust bearing tests are performed to verify the maximum tolerance of the bearing system; material fatigue is assessed; and a vibration test is conducted, etc.

The Garrett GT and GTX series are all equipped with dual ball bearings, are precision-balanced, and are oil- and water-cooled. There is also the older-generation T series, which is mostly equipped with plain bearings. The GTX series differs from the standard GT series in that it features a special, larger compressor wheel with multiple blades, which results in higher performance and slightly better responsiveness. It is important with ball-bearing turbochargers that they do not receive too much oil pressure. For this reason, a Oil restrictor Used with a 0.9 mm bore. A ball-bearing turbo responds approximately 400–500 rpm earlier than a plain-bearing turbo.
