Description:
We offer original Garrett turbochargers. We source these from Garrett distributors, so you can be sure the turbos are genuine. Garrett is one of the few turbocharger manufacturers that subjects the turbos to several qualification tests, meaning you always receive a top product. Among other things, a 1,000-hour durability test is carried out on an engine in a Garrett Engineering laboratory, thrust bearing test, the maximum tolerance of the bearing system is checked as well as material fatigue, a vibration test is performed, etc.

The Garrett GT and GTX series are all double ball bearing, fine-balanced and oil- and water-cooled. There is also the older T series generation which are mostly plain bearing. The GTX series differs from the normal GT in that it has a special, larger compressor wheel with more blades, which leads to more power and slightly better response. With ball-bearing turbochargers, it is important that they do not receive too much oil pressure. That’s why an oil restrictor with a 0.9mm bore is used at the oil inlet. A ball bearing turbo responds about 400-500 rpm earlier than a plain bearing turbo. When choosing the right turbocharger, ask us or check directly on the manufacturer’s homepage http://turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/turbochargers. All information such as exhaust housing options, product description, performance map, and drawings can be found there.
