Description:
With us you get an original Garrett turbocharger. We obtain these from Garrett distributors, so you can be sure that the turbos are original. Garrett is one of the few turbocharger manufacturers that subjects the turbos to several qualification tests, which means you always get a top product. Among other things, a 1000-hour durability test is carried out in a Garrett engineering laboratory on an engine, thrust bearing test, the maximum tolerance of the bearing system is checked as well as material fatigue, a vibration test is carried out etc.

The Garrett GT and GTX series are all double ball bearing mounted, finely balanced and oil and water-cooled. There is also the older generation T series, which are mostly mounted with plain bearings. The GTX series differs from the normal GT in that it has a special, larger impeller with more blades, which leads to more performance and slightly better response. It is important with the ball bearing turbochargers that they do not get too much oil pressure. Therefore, an oil restrictor with 0.9mm bore is used for the oil inlet. A ball bearing turbo responds about 400-500 rpm earlier compared to a plain bearing turbo. When selecting the right turbocharger, ask us or check directly on the manufacturer's homepage http://turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/turbochargers. There you can find all information such as exhaust housing options, product description, performance map and drawings.
