There is also the older generation T series, which are mostly plain bearing. The GTX series differs from the standard GT in that it has a special, larger compressor wheel with more blades, which leads to more power and slightly better response. It is important for ball bearing turbochargers that they do not get too much oil pressure. Therefore, an oil restrictor with a 0.9mm bore is used for the oil supply. A ball bearing turbo responds approximately 400-500 rpm earlier than a journal bearing turbo.
