Description:
With us you receive an original Garrett turbocharger. We source these from Garrett distributors, so you can be sure that the turbos are original. Garrett is one of the few turbocharger manufacturers that puts the turbos through several qualification tests, which means you always get a top product. Among other things, a 1000-hour durability test is carried out on an engine in a Garrett engineering laboratory, thrust bearing test, the maximum tolerance of the bearing system is tested as well as material fatigue, a vibration test is carried out etc.

The Garrett GT and GTX series are all double ball bearing, finely balanced and oil- and water-cooled. There is also the older generation T series, which are mostly plain bearing. The GTX series differs from the regular GT in that it has a special, larger compressor wheel with more blades, which results in more power and slightly better response. It is important with ball bearing turbos that they do not get too much oil pressure. That is why an oil restrictor with a 0.9mm bore is used for the oil feed. A ball bearing turbo responds approx. 400-500 rpm earlier compared to a plain bearing one. When selecting the right turbocharger, ask us or check directly on the manufacturer's homepage http://turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/turbochargers. There you will find all information such as exhaust housing options, product description, performance map and drawings.
