Description:
With us you get an original Garrett turbocharger. We source these from Garrett distributors, so you can be sure the turbos are genuine. Garrett is one of the few turbocharger manufacturers that subjects the turbos to multiple qualification tests, meaning you always get a top product. Among other things, a 1,000-hour durability test is carried out on an engine in a Garrett engineering laboratory, bearing load test, the maximum tolerance of the bearing system is checked as well as material fatigue, a vibration test is carried out, etc.
The Garrett GT and GTX series are all double ball bearing, precision balanced and oil- and water-cooled. There is also the older generation T series which are mostly plain bearing. The GTX series differs from the normal GT in that it has a special, larger compressor wheel with more blades, which leads to more power and slightly better response. It is important for ball bearing turbochargers that they do not receive too much oil pressure. That is why an oil restrictor with a 0.9 mm bore is used in the oil inlet. A ball bearing turbo responds about 400–500 rpm earlier than a plain bearing one. When choosing the right turbocharger, ask us or check directly on the manufacturer's homepage http://turbobygarrett.com/turbobygarrett/turbochargers. All information such as exhaust housing options, product description, performance map and drawings can be found there. Manufacturer informationGarrett
